Brazil defeated Spain in the World Cup

Brazil defeated Spain in the World Cup. For the third date of Group III of the Main Round, the Brazilians beat the Spaniards 26-25 for the first time and are already thinking about their next opponent in the quarterfinals.

The team coached by Marcus Tata once again made the difference in the tournament, this time against Jordi Ribera’s team. This is the first time that the Brazilian team has beaten Spain.

Good game

With qualification to the quarterfinals already assured, Brazil faced the Spaniards. In the first minutes they dominated the game with a solid defense and an accurate attack that kept them on top of the scoreboard. Spain quickly corrected some mistakes in attack to go goal for goal and go to halftime trailing by the minimum. The score was 14-13 in favor of the Warriors.

Second half

In the second half, the Hispanics managed to overtake Brazil on the scoreboard, but goalkeeper Mateus Martins’ saves prevented Spain from extending their lead. A fast-paced, back-and-forth game was what both teams played.

Rudolph Hackbarth’s 100% effectiveness in penalty kicks with 6/6 made him the top Brazilian scorer.

In the last minutes of the match, some attacking errors by the Green-and-white team allowed Spain to get within one goal. The last attack was blocked by the goalkeeper Martins closing the victory for Brazil by the minimum difference 26-25.

The MVP of the game was Bryan Monte.
