The action continues in Iquique with the Beach Handball SCA U17. The qualifying championship for the World Cup in Tunisia started with the five morning matches at the Arena Cavancha.
We share with you a summary of the first round of the competition:
Brazil vs Chile (men)
In the opening of the second day at the Arena Cavancha, the teams of Brazil and Chile played an exciting match that left them with one set each. The first set was won by Chile 22:20 and the second set was for the Brazilians 19:16. In the definition by shot out gave the victory to Brazil 7:4 and in this way they won the game 2-1.
Argentina vs Uruguay (men)
Meanwhile, Argentina defeated Uruguay 2-0 in the second match of the morning. The Albiceleste overcame the Uruguayans in two sets 16:10 and 17:12 and remain undefeated.
Paraguay vs Peru (men)
In the third match of the SCA U17 Beach Handball championship taking place in Iquique, Paraguayans and Peruvians tied 1-1, taking one set each. Paraguay won the first set 22:12 and Peru won the second set 18:12. In the shot out definition with saves from both goalkeepers, Peru outplayed the Paraguayans 5:4 and won 2-1.
Paraguay vs Uruguay (female)
The Paraguayan and Uruguayan teams went out to the Cavancha arena in search of a win. Uruguay beat the Guarani team 2-0. The Charrúas overcame their rival without complications in the two sets 6:13 and 17:31.
Chile vs Brazil (female)
In the last game of the first round, Brazil beat Chile 2-0. The locals could not manage to translate their game model on the court and were outplayed by the Brazilians in both sets by 12:16 and 14:26.
