Brazil and Argentina champions in the Beach Handball SCA U17. Three unforgettable days were lived, Iquique vibrated with beach handball in the Arena Cavancha.
The championship awarded 3 places in the men’s division and 2 in the women’s division for the World Championship in Tunisia 2025. Brazil in women and Argentina in men were crowned champions of the SCA U17 Beach Handball Tournament, Iquique 2024.
We share with you a summary of the last day of competition:
Uruguay vs Paraguay (men)
In the beginning of the last day of the tournament, the Uruguayan national team beat Paraguay 2-0. The team led by Alvaro Bonino won both sets 16:10 and 22:13, thus qualifying the Charrúas to the World Cup in Tunisia 2025.
Uruguay vs Chile (female)
In the women’s division, the Uruguayan team beat Chile 2-0. The local team was not able to defeat their Uruguayan counterpart. The team led by Francisco Gallo managed to win the two sets 18:13 and 21:14. The Uruguayan team placed second in the competition and won one of the two places for the 2025 World Cup to be held in Tunisia.
Peru vs Chile (men)
The Chilean national team defeated Peru 2-1 in a match with shot out definition. Alexander Diaz’s team won the first set 15:10 and the Chilean team led by Mauro Rosso managed to beat the Peruvians in the second set 17:10. In the definition by shot out, Chile beat Peru 5:2.
Argentina vs Brazil (female)
It was a heart-stopping match between the Albiceleste and the Verdeamarela. Brazil beat Argentina 2-0 and became champions.
Brazil beat Argentina in both sets 14:21 and 17:18 with a goal in the last second of the game. With this result, the Brazilian team qualified for the World Cup in Tunisia 2025.

Brazil vs Argentina (men)
In the last match of the competition Argentina beat Brazil 2-1. The first set went to the green and yellow team 18:10 and the second set to the Argentines 18:16. In the definition by shot out, Argentina beat Brazil 11:10 and won the title of champion.
Classifieds
The teams that have qualified for the World Cup in Tunisia 2025 in the men’s category are: Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. While in the women’s category, Brazil and Uruguay qualified for the World Cup.
