¡Beach Handball SCA U17 has started! The best handball of the continent is being lived in Cavancha Beach, Iquique. The morning shift vibrated with the competition that grants quotas for the World Cup in Tunisia 2025.
Here is a summary of the first round of competition.
Uruguay vs Peru (men)
The day began with the match between Uruguay and Peru. The Charrúa team beat the Peruvian team 2-0 with sets of 18:11 and 18:12, showing their superiority in most of the match.
Argentina vs Chile (men)
In an exciting match that thrilled the crowd at Cavancha Beach, Argentina defeated the locals 2-1. After winning the first set 22:10, Chile reacted in the second, equalizing the score in the last moments and taking the set with a golden goal, 18:20. However, Argentina won the shoot-out 7:6, sealing their victory.
Uruguay vs Brazil (female)
In the women’s category, the first match was also settled in a thrilling shoot-out. Uruguay edged Brazil 2-1 in a hard-fought match, winning the first set 21:16, losing the second 16:18, and finally securing victory in the shoot-out 5:4.
Argentina vs Paraguay (female)
The Albicelestes defeated Paraguay 2-0, in straight sets Argentina defeated the Guarani team 20:8 and 16:10 and scored their first points.
Brazil vs Paraguay (men)
At the end of the first round of play in the Beach Handball SCA U17 championship, Brazil did the same at the Arena Cavancha and beat Paraguay 2-0 with victories in their sets by 22:14 and 22:7.
