Taubaté prepares for Club World Cup, which will be held in Cairo, Egypt, from September 27 to October 3. In the seventeenth edition.
This will be Taubaté’s eighth participation in the Super Globe and this time it will be part of group A. Group A together with Vespre HC from Hungary and Zamalek SC from Egypt.
The Brazilian team has already faced both clubs in previous editions, today with other names but with the same tradition in the competition.
“It is a competition with high level of demand for us, we have intensified training and we are working on the material of both teams”, commented coach André Vinicius Mendes Silva,
THE STAFF AND A GREAT CHALLENGE
Handebol Taubaté has 24 athletes. It is a relatively young group with an average age of 24.
In addition, the technical committee is made up of coach André Vinicius Mendes Silva, assistant coach Caio Barreira, physical trainer Alex Roseguini together with Fabrício Lisboa, analyst Vinicius Ferreira and director Daniel Santos.
The final list will be released on September 9, the team will travel 2 days before its debut in the competition.
They will seek to represent the continent in the best way possible and compete at the highest level in the most important tournament at club level.
“This is undoubtedly the biggest challenge I will face in my short coaching career. I am motivated and confident in the work that is being done,” said Mendes Silva.
