On the second day of the SCA U14 Handball Asunción 2024, the highlight was the exciting women’s match between Uruguay and Paraguay A, which achieved its second victory.
In a UENO Arena Cop full of energy, Paraguay A beat Uruguay by 27-14. The Paraguayan team started off dominating the match, taking a 4-0 lead in the first ten minutes thanks to their solid defense and quick attacks.
Uruguay, however, found their rhythm after a tremendous save by their goalkeeper, which allowed an effective counterattack that culminated in a goal.
However, Wilson Alfonso’s team quickly regained control of the game, stealing balls and taking advantage of one-on-ones with the Uruguayan goalkeeper to increase their lead. The first half ended 17-5 with a clear dominance by the Guarani team.
In the second half, Uruguay came out determined to reduce the difference, showing an improvement in their defensive organization and taking advantage of Paraguay’s mistakes.
Despite this, the Albirrojos maintained a rigid defense and continued to play their fast and precise game.
Beyond the efforts of the Charrúa team, the match ended with a resounding victory for Paraguay by 27-14 reaffirming their dominance in the match, and achieving their second victory in the SCA U14 Handball.
