Referee camp at the Handball SCA U14 Asunción 2024. The referee training will come to an end on September 28 when the U16 tournament ends.
COSCABAL chief referee Thedy Adjemian , together with Rolando Ferrés, member of the COSCABAL PRC, and technical delegates Adrián Galván and Pablo Martínez are part of the staff that will carry out all the work.
The main objective of the Camp is to strengthen referees and train technical delegates through training.
In addition, a detection of new referee couples will be carried out to start the Global Project Training GRTP 2027. The attendees have been proposed by their federations, betting on the growth of refereeing.
“It is a bet on the future, most of them are young referees, also the thin ones are referents in their countries, the idea is that later they can train their bosses since many times they do not have enough knowledge and thus be able to give more development to the countries participating in COSCABAL”, said Thedy Adjemian.

It should be noted that at the beginning of the Camp they were evaluated with a written test and during each day they were observed and at the end of the Camp they were given a feedback on their performance during the days of competition.

“This camp has allowed us to learn and add to our experience as referees. It is our first international experience, we thank Thedy, Rolo, Adrián, Pablo, Germán and Marcelo who have helped us so that continental refereeing continues to grow”. They are the representatives of Colombia.

“The Camp added a lot for us, there was a lot of learning. Thedy, Rolo and all their team are very experienced people and we try to incorporate everything we have learned to take back to our country”. Tayná and Ana Clara Bernardo are referees from Brazil.
Antonella Olivera from Uruguay:
“It is a new experience, for us women it is a sport that although it is inclusive, in the part of delegates and officials, we are just joining in what is South America.
I am one of the first women from Uruguay to come to this Camp, it is not the same in our local leagues as being in an international tournament”.
The function of the technical delegates is to control the substitutes’ bench, to ensure that order is maintained, controlling the changes, the cards, the two minutes and to complete the forms properly, commented Olivera.
