The COSCABAL Referee Camp ended at the closing of the Handball SCA U16 Asunción 2024. The referee training was a unique experience for the young promising referees and for the participating delegates.
COSCABAL chief referee Thedy Adjemian together with Rolando Ferrés, member of the COSCABAL PRC and technical delegates Adrián Galván and Pablo Martínez are part of the staff that will carry out all the work at the referee camp.

Rolando Ferrés, maintains that this type of camp strengthens the referees through training and educates the technical delegates. “Overall it is an extremely positive experience for these young referees”. He also highlighted the detection of new referee couples to start the Global Project Training GRTP 2027. As for the technical delegates, “the roles they have assigned help us a lot in the control of the benches and the administrative part. In addition, we are implementing the task of the observer. It is a very important task because afterwards, he is the one who will give general guidelines to the referees on how to perform”, said Ferrés.

Sandra Cuadro from Brazil: “it is an incredible experience, working with these young referees is something I always wanted, it is the beginning of a job and it is a job in which Thedy and Rolo help us a lot.I was a referee and I work with handball, but this experience is unique for me with daily meetings, doing observation and contributing to the formation of new referees”.
María Rebeca Alcivar from Ecuador: “It is fruitful and rewarding and a lot of learning this first camp that COSCABAL has done for referee referents. We have learned a lot and we are ready to apply the new guidelines and new changes. We have great teachers like Thedy, Rolo, Pablo and Germán who support us and help us for the growth of handball.”
Matías Oyarzo Chilean referee: “It is my first experience in a COSCABAL cadets tournament, it has been intense as the game increases and is faster.” Matías referees alongside Pedro Gutiérrez, both agree that the returns in general in the camp have been good. “We have a support referee, Germán Araújo from Uruguay, who helps us both technically and in terms of attitude and posture on the field.
Luiz Cohelo and Arthur Souza are one of the Brazilian duos. “It has been an incredible experience, I got to enjoy the championship and so much experience that I have gained,”said Luiz.
