Chile and Brazil faced each other in the 4th date of the SCA U14 Men’s Handball Championship being played in Asuncion, Paraguay. The Chilean team, the 2023 champion, was more regular throughout the match and s e won, adding a new victory in the tournament. The first minutes of the game were very well played by both teams with long positional plays due to good defenses. The difference was in the effectiveness, Chile was able to convert and Brazil missed their shots or found the goalkeeper of Chile. In this way, the team coached by Nicolás Hernández achieved a 7-2 partial in their favor. As the minutes went by, the match became back and forth with faster attacks which generated a high scoring. The first half ended 18-14 in favor of Chile, which was able to maintain the initial advantage.

We didn’t get the victory but we tried to play our best game in defense and attack”.Nicolas Calquin, player of the Chilean National Team: “It was a tough game, we have been preparing for a couple of days with the teacher since we came from the defeat against Paraguay A that hurt us a little bit. We were able to get up thanks to him and our commitment to each other”.
