Brazil beat Uruguay in the SCA U14 Women’s Handball. An even match from start to finish where Uruguay was looking for their first win in the tournament.
Brazil won by 22 to 19.
The first minutes of the match were marked by mistakes in Brazil’s attack. Missed shots, turnovers and a great performance by Uruguay’s goalkeeper, Constanza Farias, allowed the Charrúas to take the lead.
The game of the green and yellow team grew as the minutes went by and got closer to the scoreboard thanks to a good defense with steals and counterattacks. The first half ended 12-10 in favor of Brazil.

Second half
In the second half, Brazil was able to adjust its shots and continued to take advantage of the breaks in defense, which allowed it to generate a large number of one-on-ones with the opposing goalkeeper.
In addition, the scoring chances of the Uruguayans came mostly from their right winger, Isabel Bocage. Finally, collective play prevailed over individual play and Brazil defeated Uruguay 22-19, adding a new victory in the SCA U14 Handball.
The top scorers of the match were Isabel Bocage of Uruguay with 11 goals and the Brazilian team’s Sofia Toscano scored 6 goals.
