The 4th day of the SCA U14 Handball opened with a great match between the women’s teams of Brazil and Uruguay. An even match from start to finish where Uruguay was looking for their first win in the tournament. Finally it was a victory for Brazil by 22 to 19. The first minutes of the match were marked by mistakes in Brazil’s attack. Missed shots, turnovers and the great performance of Uruguay’s goalkeeper, Constanza Farias, allowed the Charrúas to take the lead on the scoreboard. The game of the green and yellow team grew as the minutes went by and they got closer to the scoreboard thanks to a good defense with steals and counterattacks. The first half ended 12-10 in favor of Brazil. 
STATEMENTS
Constanza Farías, player of the Uruguayan National Team: “It was a game we thought we had it and in the end it got out of hand because of different mistakes. We’ve been improving game by game in the tournament so we’re happy about that.”
Mariah Cruz Alves , player of the Brazilian National Team: “We played an even match with Uruguay. In the first half we missed some balls and in the second half we ended up winning the game by 3 goals, we did what we had trained. It’s an incredible experience.”
