Brazil’s women’s national team in Paris

Brazil’s Women’s National Team and its successful bid for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Once again, he added an outstanding performance, representing his country and South America in an international competition. In dialogue with Cristiano Rocha, coach of the Brazilian national team, who analyzed the Brazilian Women’s National Team’s visit to Paris. “We managed to advance to the quarterfinals which was our first goal and finished the tournament in seventh place. Ofcourse we wanted to make more progress but we feel that overall our participation was more than positive.”

THE STAFF

“The group is very heterogeneous with younger athletes and others with experience. I think we were able to represent Brazil and our continent in a positive way in this competition. We were able to beat some outstanding teams and for now we want to make sure that these young players who have been emerging can take on a bigger role”.

  When an Olympic Games ends, so does a cycle and the green and yellow team has shown a remarkable and positive performance. They finished sixth in the 2021 World Cup in Spain, ninth in the 2023 World Cup in Denmark, Norway and Sweden and seventh in the 2024 Paris Games. This shows that in this Olympic cycle they are part of the elite of world handball, always placing among the top 10 teams. Looking ahead Cristiano Rocha stated:

There is a long way to go, to build a strong and solid team to keep making good appearances among the best teams in the world.”
