Brazil beats Netherlands by one goal in China World Cup

Brazil overcame the Netherlands 23-22 in their second Main Round II match at the World Cup in China. The youngsters won the match by the narrowest of margins in the tenth edition of the World Cup. On the second day, Brazil overcame the Netherlands and achieved a narrow 23-22 victory that was not enough to advance to the quarterfinals but was the surprise of the day, as the Dutch were one of the favorites to qualify. The Brazilian team had just lost to Japan on the first day of the Main Round II 19-30, a hard blow for the Brazilians who were dreaming of advancing to the quarterfinals.

Favorable numbers

The statistics of the match in terms of shooting efficiency were quite balanced, 50% for the Dutch and 49% for the Brazilians. La Estropeas was more effective in 7-meter shots.

Brazil’s journey at the World Cup in China

The Brazilian team was part of Group D, where it won two games and lost one. They beat Kosovo at the start of the championship 39-21, then beat India 34-17 and lost to France 34-18. In the Main Round II they lost to Japan 30-19 and added a victory over the Netherlands. Brazil will be looking for victories to stay at the top of the ranking.
