The Brazilians have one win and one loss and need to win to advance to the next round of the Olympic Games.
First half
The Brazilian team had closed the first half with the score 15-12 in their favor and a good work in defense and attack. The team coached by Cristiano Rocha will go for everything in the third date of Group B against the local team. Hungary, on the other hand, looked to 19-year-old Petra Simon to make the difference in key moments of the game.
Decisive seconds
Coach Vladimir Golovin called a timeout with 18 seconds left and the game tied 24-24. Simon found herself with the ball in possession in an unfamiliar right back position, however, she was relentless in front of goalkeeper Gabriela Moreschi and scored the winning goal.
