The ideal team of the Beach Handball World Championship with representatives from South America. The Championship came to an end and the champion titles went to Germany in women and Croatia in men.
In addition to the selection of the ideal team, the scorers of the tournament and the MVP were awarded.
Distinctions
Prior to the awards ceremony for the first, second and third places in each branch, the best players in each playing position were awarded, making them the best in the world.
Within the women’s ideal team, two Argentines stood out: Fiorella Corimberto, best winger with 82 goals, 72% efficiency and 20 assists. Lucila Balsasbest specialist with 64 goals, 86% efficiency and 46 assists.
The scorers were also awarded: Santiago Rodriguez of Uruguay with 158 goals and Beatriz Cruzof Brazil with 170 goals.
Men’s Dream Team
Best goalkeeper: Ricardo Castro, Portugal; left back Gonzalo Cervera, Spain; right back Lucian Bura, Croatia. Best specialist Martin Vilstrup Andersen, Denmark; center Simon Moss, Denmark and best defender: Severin Henrich, Germany.
Top scorer: Santy Rodríguez, Uruguay (158 points), MVP Ivan Dumencic, Croatia. Fair Play Award: Croatia.
Ideal Women’s Team
Best Goalkeeper: Patricia Encinas Guardado, Spain. Left back: Fiorella Corimberto, Argentina
Right back: Meike Kruijer, Netherlands.
Specialist: Lucila Candela Balsas, Argentina. Center: Isabel Kattner, Germany. Defender: Lucie-Marie Kretzschmar, Germany
Leading scorer: Beatriz Cruz, Brazil (170 points). MVP: Line Larsen, Denmark. Fair Play Award: Spain
