Olympic Day: Let’s Move and Celebrate

This June 23 is celebrated as “Olympic Day” around the world. Since 1948, it is a day that commemorates the founding of the International Olympic Committee by Baron Pierre de Coubertin in 1894.

From the Confederation of South and Central America Handball (CoSCABal) we join the International Handball Federation (IHF) and all lovers of this sport to celebrate this special day. Adopt the Olympic values of friendship, excellence and respect as well as work together for the development of hanbdall.

In this 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the French city will be the center of attention for thousands of spectators. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has launched the Let’s Move and Celebrate initiative, created in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), to inspire and encourage people to embrace the joy of movement in the European summer.

It should be noted that the handball competitions at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will have 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams. The women will start the competition on July 25, while the men will start on July 27.

The matches will be played at the Arena 6 South in Paris for the preliminary round and at the Pierre Mauroy. Lille Stadium for the definition phase. The women’s gold medal will take place on Saturday, August 10 and the men’s gold medal on Sunday, August 11. The reigning champion in both categories is France.
