Colombia and Venezuela were the champions of the IHF Trophy South Tournament held in Palmira. The Venezuelans won the Junior title and the locals won the Youth title.
The event was played in the Pabellón Blanco in the Ciudadela Deportiva and was a qualifier for the IHF Trophy Continental Phase of South and Central America.
Venezuelans with a title
Venezuela won the title in the Junior category, after tying with the locals 25-25 in regulation time, in extra time the Venezuelans sealed the victory 33-31.
