On Saturday morning, the Brazilian and Argentine National Team faced off again to define the champion of the SCA Beach Handball 2024. The verdeamarela team was able to impose its game and in this way managed to climb to the top of the podium, winning by 2 sets to 0. the defending champions.
In the first set Brazil was very forceful, they were always ahead on the scoreboard and ended up with a partial score of 21-12. The Kamikazes added some ball losses and were not effective when it came to finishing. Bericio, despite having made some saves, could not counteract Brazil’s offensive power.
The second set was more even and fought until the end. It was defined in the last plays where Argentina had the ball to tie, but committed an infraction and Brazil stretched the difference even further on the counterattack. It was a 24-20 partial for Brazil, which was crowned the new champion of the tournament.
In addition, the match had María Florencia Gallo from Argentina as scorers, with 16 points and Patricia Scheppa and Beatriz Correia with 15 and 14 goals, respectively.

It couldn’t be given to us, we would have loved to play with 10 players like all the teams want, to feel more comfortable. We are happy with the tournament we did, we were able to qualify for the World Cup and we are very happy with the entire process and what we are working on year after year”.
Ingrid Frazão player of the Brazilian National Team: “We just played a highly contested final against the Argentine National Team, a very tough classic, beyond the game and the result, we got the place for the World Cup but this does not end here, it is a job What we have been doing all together, trained in Brazil and this is a triumph for our land, let’s go Brazil”.
