Brazil women’s champion in Beach Handball, Asunción 2024. On Saturday morning, the South American classic Brazil vs Argentina was played and it was a 2-0 victory for the Brazilians.
The defending champions won in two sets against the Kamikazes.
First set
In the first set Brazil was convincing, they were always up on the scoreboard and won 21:12. The Kamikazes added some turnovers and were not effective at the time of defending. The goalkeeper, Florencia Bericio, despite having some saves, could not counter Brazil’s offensive power.
Second set
The second set was more even and disputed until the end. It was defined in the last plays where Argentina had the ball to tie. But the Argentines committed an infraction and Brazil stretched even more the difference in the counterattack. It was a partial 24:20 for Brazil who won the title of champion. In addition, the match had as scorers María Florencia Gallo of Argentina, with 16 points and Patricia Scheppa and Beatriz Correia with 15 and 14 goals, respectively.

“This was a tough final, we enjoyed it a lot. We would have loved to play with 10 players as every team wants to do, to feel more comfortable.
We are very happy with the tournament we did, we were able to qualify for the World Cup and we are very happy with the whole process and what we are working on year after year”.

“We have just played a hard-fought final against the Argentine national team, a very tough classic, and beyond the game and the result, we earned a place in the World Cup.”
