Brazil advances undefeated to the final of the Senior Beach HSCA being played in Asuncion. The last match of the third day was a 2-0 win for Brazil against Argentina.
In a match that would be the prelude to what we will see tomorrow, Saturday, in the final between Brazil and Argentina, the Brazilians showed their superiority in the game.
First set
In the first five minutes of the game, Argentina was able to filter the Brazilian defense very well and stayed up by two goals.
However, Brazil’s effective counterattacking ended the albiceleste advantage closing the set with a tight 21:18.
Second set
In the second set Brazil did not extend their lead by more than 4 goals and Argentina was gradually getting closer.
But after more than half the minutes, the experience of Brazilian goalkeeper Cristiano Seben Rossa prevented multiple scoring chances for the Albiceleste.
Finally, it ended with a score of 21:7 in favor of Brazil. With this result, the green-and-white team is positioned at the top of the table and tomorrow will repeat the match against the Argentines to define the champion of the competition.

“We knew that today’s game was important, the qualification and the final game will be tomorrow with Argentina, but it is always good to finish with a victory, we accomplished and now we know that it will be more difficult to play the final with them.”
Francisco Daudinot, player of the Argentina national team:
“Although the match was very tough, very even, we believe that tomorrow in the final we will be able to play for the gold medal. This match was more than to close the group, it was to see each other and play a match against them before the final”.
Other results
In other men’s matches, Chile defeated Peru 2-0, placing fourth in the standings. The locals were unable to defeat the Charrúa team and lost 2-0.
