Argentina and Brazil already know their rivals for Paris 2024. This Tuesday, April 16, the draw for the teams qualified for the Olympic Games was held.

The draw was represented by the two-time Olympic champion and top scorer in the history of the French national team, Jerome Fernandez, and the Rio 2016 silver medalist, Siraba Dembelé.

The 12 teams in each category were divided into two groups, with the top four in each group advancing to the next stage.

The matches will take place at the South Paris Arena 6 from July 27 to August 4, and the final stages will be between August 6 and 11 at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium.

Also, the Olympic torch lighting ceremony was held in Athens, Greece. The torch will travel around the country for 11 days and then will cross to Marseille, France on the historic sailing ship “Belem.”

The flame symbolizes peace and links the modern Games with those of antiquity.

The torch relay includes 38 stages in France until reaching the opening ceremony on July 26, where the most important sporting competition, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, will begin.
