Arbitration training in Peru

Arbitration training in Peru. On this occasion, the Peruvian Handball Federation successfully ran the first stage of the Talent Identification Programme and Refresher Course on Handball Refereeing Rules.

Refereeing Commission

Rolando Ferres, a lecturer at the CoSCABal Refereeing Commission, was in charge of the programme and highlighted:

“The programme ran for five days, covering both theory and practical sessions on the court. Overall, the course achieved its objective and we were able to recruit two new pairs of referees.”

He added:

“We could see the progress they made during the competition days that followed Phase 1 of the programme”.

“I would like to highlight the organisation, the sports complex, the performance of all participants in running the event, and the large crowds that attended the entire tournament.”

Handball Talent Identification Programme and Update of Refereeing Rules

Following the Peruvian Federation’s successful participation, COSCABAL has already scheduled work with the Chilean and Costa Rican Federations.

The aim is for all of them to join an initiative involving the training of handball coaches across the continent.
