Once again the House of Handball is home to the best handball on the Continent. From November 21 to 25, the IHF Trophy / HSCA Youth Women’s Tournament, Buenos Aires 2023, will take place, with the participation of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Uruguay and Venezuela. The contest grants three places to the 2024 World Cup in China.
Group A: Brazil, Chile, Guatemala, Colombia
Group B: Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela, Nicaragua.
The action began in Parque Roca, the first teams to take the field were Chile and Colombia. The Chileans won their first victory 36-15 against the Colombians, this Wednesday they will face Guatemala. Uruguay, for its part, defeated Nicaragua with a 44-07 victory.
In the second round, the current champion, Brazil, beat Guatemala 42-13. And in the closing, with the support of the local public, Argentina beat Venezuela 38-12.

Milagros Martin, player of the Argentine national team: “At first it was difficult for us, the one-on-one attack and defense bothered us. However, we were able to overcome it, we made a big difference in the end, that way we started to loosen up and that made us able to move forward all together”.
