Brazil is twice champion of the IHF Trophy / HSCA Youth Women, Buenos Aires 2023. The Brazilians won 26-23 over the local team in the 2nd edition of the Handball SCA Junior Women’s competition.
Chile, after winning the bronze medal, qualified along with Brazil and Argentina for the World Cup to be held in China next year.
At the end of the tournament, in the definition for the 7th place, Venezuela beat Nicaragua 36-16. Guatemala achieved an important victory 24-18 against Colombia to win the Intrercontinental IHF Trophy phase.

Bronze for Chile
Chile won the third place at stake for the 2024 World Cup, beating Uruguay 23-22, and in the last match of the day, the South American classic went to the Brazilians, who beat Argentina 26-23.
In the second half, Brazil managed to improve some defensive errors and the goalkeepers of both teams were in charge of preventing a higher score. Brazil won the title for the second consecutive year.

“We just finished playing the final match against Brazil, a very tough match, we didn’t win but we played a game, there are things to correct and improve.
We have an incredible team that always raises its head, we have a coaching staff that supports us off the field. We knew Brazil was a tough team.
Anais Larenas, player from Chile:
“We just won third place in the tournament, it’s a lot of emotions we felt as a team, we knew it was a tough game, but we gave it our all until the end. Winning the place to the World Cup was our goal and we gave everything to get there.”
