Argentina defeated Brazil 28-22 and became champion of the 2nd edition of the SCA Junior Handball competition. While Chile won the bronze. The three teams secured their ticket to the World Cup event.
On the last day, the game began with the definition for 7th place in the tournament. Colombia in a round-trip match defeated Costa Rica 21-17. For the 5th/6th place, Peru achieved an important 27-23 victory against Guatemala, obtaining the Intercontinental IHF Trophy phase. Chile, for its part, achieved its place in the World Cup after beating Uruguay 26-23.
The last match of the tournament was the long-awaited South American classic. The hosts came out with everything to defend their title of champions obtained in the first edition. After an even start, little by little the Argentines managed to take control and dominance of the match.
Those led by Hernan Sisi knew how to maintain the advantage for practically the entire sixty minutes of play, both in terms of the score and the pace of the game.
