Argentina champions of the IHF Trophy / HSCA Junior Women’s! They defeated Brazil 28-22 in the 2nd edition of the competition. Chile won the bronze medal. All three teams secured their ticket to the world championship.
On the last day, the game started with the definition of the 7th place of the tournament.
Colombia defeated Costa Rica 21-17 in a back and forth match.
For the 5th/6th place Peru achieved an important victory 27-23 against Guatemala obtaining the Intrecontinental IHF Trophy phase.
Chile, meanwhile, earned its place in the World Cup after beating Uruguay 26-23.

South American classic
The hosts came out all out to defend their title as champions obtained in the first edition. After an even start, the Argentines gradually managed to take control and dominate the match.
The team coached by Hernan Sisi was able to maintain the advantage for almost the entire sixty minutes of the game, both on the scoreboard and in the rhythm of the match.

Miranda Kruk, captain of the Argentine national team:
“We knew the match would be very difficult, Brazil is never an easy opponent. But we were able to solve very well, closing the goal, the spaces, and to have the people here, the family is very nice, a pride”.
Livia Oliveira, captain of the Brazilian national team:
“We were not able to play our game and we were not effective. We achieved our goal, which was to qualify for the World Cup. We will continue training to have a good World Cup”.
