During this day the South Central American Handball Confederation (COSCABAL) has confirmed the venue that will host the largest continental event of club handball, being the Brazilian club E.C Pinheiros the host of the next tournament Handball SCA Clubs Men and Women 2023.
Along with the nomination of the Sú Paulo team, they also sought to be the epicenter of the handball: Nacional de Sao José (BRA), Handebol Taubaté (BRA) and the Metropolitan Handball Federation (Femebal) (ARG). The latter sought to reissue the successful version of Buenos Aires 2022.
Pinheiros is an institution with great weight in the history of handball in Brazil and the continent and is also a permanent animator of the final stages of the tournament. That is why in this edition he will seek to play at home the continental crown, something he could not get in the last edition where he faced the current continental monarch, Handebol Taubaté.
During the coming days will be informed the general conditions of the tournaments where the current continental champions, Taubaté in men and the host Pinheiros in women, will be challenged by national champions who enter the competition in their own right. will also be announced the mechanism of application to one of the Wild Cards that CoSCABal will grant for the SCA Senior Women’s and Men’s Club Handball Championships, which will be held consecutively from the first days of June.
