In the last day of the Handball SCA Men’s Center, Costa Rica was crowned champion of the Handball SCA Men’s Center Managua 2023 after winning their last match of the tournament against Honduras by 35 to 26. With this result, the Ticos closed undefeated their participation in the tournament that took place in the capital of Nicaragua.
In this way, the Costa Rican team got its second Central American title and qualified for the next Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023 to be played between June and July this year.
For its part, Nicaragua was left with the remaining quota to San Salvador 2023 -qualifying event to the Pan American Games of Santiago 2023-after positioning in the second place of the tournament. With a young and renewed squad, the Nicaraguans proved to be a competitive rival and returned to the Games after 10 years of absence.
The last team to complete the podium was Guatemala, which closed its participation with a 26-20 victory against El Salvador.
