Niteroi and Municipality of Avellaneda are champions of Puerto Madryn 2022

Today was the last day of the tournament Beach Handball SC America Clubs in the Argentine beaches of Puerto Madryn. The tournament that took place between 1 and 3 March counted with the participation of 9 teams participating in the male and 8 in the female branch coming from Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Brazil.

Very early in the morning the semifinals started that advanced how the decisive meetings of the afternoon would be. In between, the matches were played for the definition of places within the tournament that, in addition, will help for the continental ranking.

Already in the afternoon, the duel for the title of American champion began. In the case of the male branch Niteroi (BRA) and Panteras Patagones (ARG) team that gave the big surprise to get in the final- faced in a duel that left as winner the Brazilians after beating by 2 sets to 0. <span

On the side of the female branch, the final of this year’s Copa Argentina was repeated: IFES (ARG) vs. Municipalidad de Avellaneda (ARG). In this duel, the Municipality of Avellaneda sought their revenge and achieved it after winning 2-0.

Thus, the American champions teams qualified to the next IHF Beach Handball Clubs World Cup.
