Bolivia is one of the 8 countries that will be present in the next edition of the South and Central American Championship organized by CoSCABal, and which grants 4 places to the XXVIII IHF World Championship Sweden and Poland 2023.
The Bolivian team was also present in the last edition of Maringá 2020, where it couldn’t beat any rival team and ended in the last place of the table.
For Bolivians, handball is a new sport, since only in 2013 it began to be practiced in the country at the Club Atlético Oruro Handball. Despite this, in just 9 years, it had a rapid development, since there are currently 14 clubs affiliated to the Bolivian Federation of Handball (FBH) that compete in the nascent National Adult League.
These antecedents demonstrate how Bolivia seeks to grow in handball, not only at the country level but also internationally, so Recife 2022 will be an opportunity to continue developing in handball.
