The second day of Recife 2022 has come to an end, with the teams classified for the semifinals and, therefore, for the World Cup in Sweden and Poland 2023.
Bolivia – Uruguay
Bolivia and Uruguay were in charge of opening the competitions on day 2 of the subcontinental competition, both teams measured themselves in order to get their place in the World Cup and advance to the semifinals.
The match started very tight, but finally Uruguay made the necessary differences in a duel in which Herbert Rosales, from Bolivia, stood out as the best of all.

Uruguay managed to win the match with a score of 42-9 over Bolivia, and now they will have to face Argentina to define the final positions valid for Group A. The highlands, meanwhile, say goodbye to the competition after two defeats.
Chile – Paraguay
In the second duel of the day on Wednesday, two teams with the goal of going to the 2023 World Cup in Sweden and Poland also faced each other in a match not without complications.
Paraguay suffered an outbreak of Covid-19 prior to their participation in the tournament, so they arrived decimated to the match with “Los Guerreros”, in which they sought to stay alive in the tournament.
In a duel marked by the physical dedication of both teams, Erwin Feuchtmann was chosen as the best player of the match.

With a result of 43 to 25 in favor of Chile, the team led by Mateo Garralda obtained its second victory of the tournament, and is waiting for a victory for Brazil over Costa Rica to ensure its passage to the semifinals and, therefore, its World Cup qualification.
Tomorrow, Chile will face the locals, while Paraguay will do the same against Costa Rica.
Brazil – Costa Rica
The last game of the day had the expectation of seeing Brazil again closing its pass to the semifinals, and the Costa Rican team trying to ruin the party for the locals.
As has been the trend of the championship, the match began balanced with opportunities for both teams, but as time progressed, Brazil imposed its dominance at home and managed to tip the balance in its favor.
The figure of Fabio Chuffa, or “Chuffagol” for the CoSCABal broadcast, stood out as the best of the meeting.

The final result was 49-13 in favor of the locals, in a match in which the Verdeamarelha’s qualification for the semi-finals and the World Cup was confirmed. For its part, the Central American champion, Costa Rica, will face Paraguay in its last match.
