Costa Rica and Paraguay were the teams in charge of opening the third day of the Recife 2022 South and Central Tournament. They faced each other in a very even duel.
During the first half, the Guaraní team managed to prevail on the scoreboard by 18 goals to 12, but it was not an easy task, since Costa Rica did its part to reduce the distance.
Already in the second half of the match, Costa Rica came out on the field with everything and managed to momentarily get closer to Paraguay. However, despite the effort, the red-and-white team won with a final score of 31 goals for and 24 against for Costa Rica.
In this way, Paraguay and Costa Rica occupied third and fourth place, respectively, in the group B table, thus saying goodbye to the contest. Both teams left a notable mark due to the level of play they exhibited during the tournament.
