The I Junior Pan American Games Cali-Valle, Colombia 2021 took place from November 23 to 25. The women’s handball competition had five days of pure emotion.
Argentina beat Paraguay 27-24 and won the gold medal. The bronze went to Brazil, which beat Chile 30-19.
Post-match statements:
Sofía Manzano: “It’s something incredible, it’s going to be difficult for us to fall from this madness. They were very intense, at times we were conditioned in defense due to exclusions. Happy that everything went well as we had planned. We came with a mental boost after beating Brazil”.
Caterina Benedetti: “We had been working a lot despite being separated, since some of us played in Europe. We knew it was going to be a match that would be decided at the end, Paraguay has a game similar to ours, luckily we did things better. “I live it as if I had not won anything, as if it were the first time, I am very excited”.
Below, we share the link with the report of the first day of competition along with the referee appointments.
