Pre-Olympic heading to Tokyo 2020

The 2020 EHF Men’s European Championship and the 2020 CAHB African Men’s Championship have ended, thus confirming the teams and venues for the three men’s pre-Olympics heading to Tokyo 2020.

Each Tournament will be held for three days, from April 17 to 19. There will be four teams in each one and they will play in the round-robin mode, to find the two best in each group who will qualify directly for Tokyo 2020.

With 98 days left until the start of the Olympic Event, in the Norwegian city of Trondheim, four teams from three continents will compete to seek the two Olympic places that complete the select group of 12 national teams that will be present in Tokyo. For the first time, 2 non-European nations from the same continent are part of a pre-Olympic group. The most frequent situation had been the presence of 2 European teams in each pre-Olympic Tournament.

2 AccorHotels Arena Tournament in Paris, France.
